Some people think winter is the best time to be in Chelan.  With three hundred days of sunshine, you're likely to have clear blue skies on any given day, a nice break from west side gray clouds.  Every window in the house looks to snow covered mountains, and the snow level frequently drops right down to the beach. 

    A ten minute drive gets you to Echo Valley ski area and snow park with downhill skiing, inner-tubing, hundreds of miles of trails for cross country skiing, snow shoeing or snowmobile riding.  If you're planning a snowmobile outing, Chelan Bluff is the perfect central location.  We have ample parking on the upper part of the lot with easy turnarounds for multiple trailers.  You can literally walk out the front door, and have your sleds on the trail in under twenty minutes.  After a long day playing in the snow, two Jacuzzi tubs await in our matching master suites to warm you back up.

    At Christmas time, all the wineries are decked out in lights.  On Martin Luther King Junior weekend, the town throws its annual winter festival with music, a torch light parade, and an ice festival.  On the final day of the festival, Chelan Bluff offers a front row seat to watch the fireworks.

    Best of all, it is quiet.  You feel like you have the lake all to yourself as you sit by the fire, see storms roll down from the mountains, and watch the snow fall through the night.  By day, the lake looks like a mirror, and hundreds of migratory birds fly just yards off the deck catching the updraft from the bluff.
